A content creation day for a hero video piece followed by an exclusive influencer event for the launch of Dead Island 2, made by creating an immersive experience in the world of HELL-A.

THE BRIEF

With the first game having been released almost 10 years ago, Dead Island 2 is a game still hugely anticipated by fans ten years on! We were tasked to create an experience to deliver a platform for content creators to showcase the launch of Dead Island 2 along with a scripted hero edit for brand channels.
IT’S TIME TO GET UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

CREATING CHAOS

THE SHOOT

Embracing the gritty pulp atmosphere and the brutal melee combat of the Dead Island franchise, we created an unforgettable zombie survival training camp at the Whistle Punks axe-throwing venue. The moment our creators arrived they were greeted by our in-game characters and confronted by a horde of flesh-eating zombies, creating an authentic Dead Island 2 experience throughout.
 
Our hero content "Melee Madness" was designed to teach the crucial art of axe-throwing and baseball bat mastery - vital skills for any slayer looking to fend off the undead and pulverise zombie skulls a.k.a. watermelons.

We enlisted the expertise of two standout talents "Woody & Kleiny" and "Sweet Anita" and plunged them into an adrenaline-fuelled experience. They crafted their unique personalised content throughout the day, showcasing their experience in  style for their audiences on TikTok. Check out the epic results!

GETTING UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL

You can't experience the zompocalypse without zombies! We partnered with Zombie Infection to recreate some of the recognisable zombies from the game along with three of the core slayers - Jacob, Carla and Ryan - to lead the influencers through the experience.

THE EVENING EVENT

The Melee Madness continued into the night with an invite-only influencer activation event catering to talent from the gaming industry. With custom cocktails, axe-throwing, melon-smashing and gaming rigs, our influencers got to experience the full HELL-A vibe.
